She specializes in designing learning and leadership events and customized conference planning. Jane has brought together experts and facilitators, keynote speakers and presenters for more than 100 successful events in Canada, the US and the UK.
Currently, Jane is the Program Director for Internet Librarian, KMWorld, Computers in Libraries and Library Leaders Summit, Blockchain in Government, and several University of Toronto iSchool symposia. She is a member of the San Jose State University School of Library and Information Science Advisory Council and a member of IFLA’s Knowledge Management Standing Committee, Continuing Professional Development Committee and Workplace Learning Standing Committee.
Prior to founding Dysart & Jones with her business partner Rebecca Jones in 1992, Jane spent seventeen years as Manager, Information Resources, with the Royal Bank of Canada.
She is a Fellow and Past President of the Special Libraries Association and received the John Cotton Dana Award, SLA’s top honour, in recognition of her exceptional service to SLA and the library and information profession. Jane was also a Mentor for the Northern Exposure to Leadership Institute.
Jane is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Library and Information Science (now the iSchool), has served on its Advisory Council, and has received the school’s Alumni Jubilee Award.
