Just listened to a talk by John Rymer, VP, Forrester discussing how we are in a world of “anything but business as usual”, basically a digital urgency era. It reminded me of how we’ve used John Kotter’s work for years, and a post on the need for libraries to have a sense of urgency
The current health crisis has certainly accelerated our digital transformation efforts and those with more modern platforms, like the cloud and low code, are certainly able to adapt more quickly than many others. In fact many models have been crushed and there will many businesses and organizations which will not survive. On the other hand, there will be lots of new and different opportunities and this is the time to think and plan and reset keeping in mind that future adaptability will be key. We don’t know what our future holds, but we have to be prepared for anything!
